If you're already an Artspan member, entering the contest is simple. Just send the URL of your Artspan site to DesignContest@artspan.com, along with your contact information. The only requirement is that your site be designed using the custom templates in the Design Themes section of your Control Panel, under the Custom Styles tab.

If you're not an Artspan member, don't start pouting yet. Why not sign up for a free trial period? Just enter the words "design contest" in the "how did you hear of us" section of the application.
Prizes run as follows:
1st Prize: Six-month free membership and $150 cash.
2nd Prize: Three-month free membership and $100 cash.
Three Honorable Mentions: One-month free membership and $50 cash.
Judging criteria will include:
1) Excellence of design.
2) Originality.
3) How the design compliments the artist's work.
4) How the design maximizes the capabilities of the new tools.
Of course, whether you win the contest or not, the most important benefit to entrants will be the improved look of your Artspan site. The more attractive the design, the longer your visitors will want to stay.
