I happened to come across an interesting blog post on Doodlers Anonymous the other day, recommending a clever way to utilize the free iPhone app, Instagram, which allows users to take pictures and share them instantly with followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr. The writer's been using the feature to snap photos of favorite art finds and share them in streams on the blog.

For anyone who's yet to tackle the blog feature on your Artspan site, this idea may very well offer the perfect loophole. Because in the eternal battle between left-brain and right-brain thinking, sometimes the ability to see the world in an artistic light leaves you unable to express those same impressions in writing.
So for the gadget-friendly artist, perhaps a few Instagram updates to the blog - of works in progress, studio visits, or just something that interests you or on your daily walk - will offer the perfect solution for those moments when you find yourself speechless...but not necessarily imageless.
Which leaves me with just one question: if artists have gadgets now, why not utility belts?
